Well, I thought twice about posting this mock from our regular visitor Octopus, but I thought he deserved his one mock. After going through it, I might have to ban him from doing future mocks
This is a comedy show in the making, folks. I think he starts off slow, with some unusual pick placements in the first 10, but he warms up and gets some good picks and risks with picks 10-30.
I agree with maybe 60 percent of his picks. I will try and post another mock later this week.
New Mock Contest Rules: I’ve lost track of the [...]

The Dallas Cowboys will get eight picks in this coming NFL draft. The team gets shafted on compensatory picks because the NFL has a vendetta against the Dallas Cowboys.
Here is list of the picks with what I hope they select:
First round – No. 22 (from Cleveland): take a cornerback here, especially if the Pacman deal doesn’t work out. DRC sounds good.
No. 28: take a running back here. Probably Felix Jones.
Second round, No. 61: I’d like to see the Cowboys grab either a safety or a wide receiver here.
Third, No.92: this is an early third round pick. I hope we can [...]
Screw You NFL II
If it weren’t bad enough the NFL released that shoddy opening games schedule, they really hit the jackpot with this stupid compensatory picks allotment. I mean, this is ridiculous. What is most ridiculous is the Washington PiecesofCrapskins get the first pick of the third round, the 96th pick overall.
FOR WHAT?
Don’t you dare come over here with your crap about Sean Taylor, because I am over it, and you should get over it. NO TEAM that was so far below the salary cap as the Redskins should be given any damn pick, especially the 96th overall. The Redskins signed a bunch [...]
Screw You NFL
The NFL announced its kickoff schedule for the first weekend of football and, I am sorry, but they are the worst selection of games they could ever possibly pick.
First of all, how can they omit the Dallas Cowboys, the most-watched football team in America, from this first weekend of football? It makes no sense at all.
But to make matters worse, the first game we have to watch on Sept. 4 for the season opener is the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. Really? Is the NFL serious? The other games in the Sunday night prime-time slot is the Indianapolis [...]
Are you guys ready to pound Rototimes? ESPN is reporting today that the Tennessee Titans want a fourth round pick this year and another pick next year for Adam Pacman Jones, something the Dallas Cowboys are unwilling to do.
The Cowboys refuse to increase the officer because they brass believes they are the only interested team in Pacman. Maybe the Titans are leaking this to the press so that another team comes in and makes such an offer to steal Pacman from the Cowboys.
The Cowboys need to get this deal done. Rototimes needs to stay out of our business.
Report: Pacman Jones A Cowboy?
The Dallas Cowboys are apparently signing Pacman Jones after giving the Tennessee Titans a fifth round pick. The report is here. I have no idea how accurate rototimes is, but I think it is OK to report it here as a rumor with the link. We can scream at rototimes if the information is wrong.
This is good news for the Cowboys, who very well could have gotten a steal with Pacman for a fifth rounder. It will all revolve around how he behaves. He’s a young guy and it’s not hard to change your friends and take life more seriously [...]

Darren McFadden Dreams Fizzling?
Jerry Jones told Randy Galloway yesterday that he has no desire to trade up into the top of picks of this 2008 NFL draft. I was so busy getting the Anthony Fasano interview solid that I didn’t have time to blog about this. The gist of Jones’ concerns have nothing to do with talent risk, but have all to do with the outrageous salaries rookies are getting in the NFL.
“I have no intent at all of moving into the top five,” Jones said, while also stressing this was not a comment on McFadden’s talent, but a fear factor of [...]
Anthony Fasano, the Dallas Cowboys back up tight end and pupil of the best tight end in the game, Jason Witten, spent some time with The Landry Hat this week for an interview.
Fasano was the 53rd pick of the 2006 NFL draft for the Cowboys. The New Jersey native played college ball at Notre Dame, and graduated with a degree in marketing. He was one of three finalists for the John Mackey Award giving to the best tight end in college football.
You will all soon hear that he was in fact a New York Giants fan growing up. Yes, I [...]
So how will the Dallas Cowboys get Pacman Jones?
Who is this undisclosed player?
I can tell you right now, the Tennessee Titans need a wide out. Right now, there wide receiver roster consists of Justin Gage, Eric Moulds (over the hill), Brandon Jones, Roydell Williams (who?), Justin McCareins (who?) and Biren Ealy (who?).
The Dallas Cowboys are well-stocked at receiver, but it should be noted that of the seven players listed on the roster, there is only one superstar, Terrell Owens. Could Isaiah Stanback, Miles Austin, Sam Hurd, or even newly signed Patrick Crayton be the undisclosed player? One of [...]
