Has Tony Romo Dumped Her Yet?

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

All of the tabloids continue after Tony Romo’s love affair with Jessica Simpson, with many writing that he has dumped her. Who cares. But I found this video, which I think was actually much earlier than this month but maybe I am wrong, that is pretty embarrassing. Of course, his bimbo girlfriend initiates the stupid thing.
Check out the 1:03 minute point and look closely at the guy who puts his arm around Jessica. It looks like he grabs her breast. She looked really uncomfortable when that happened, pulled away, and then went to Tony for help. Romo then tries to [...]

RUMOR: Chad Johnson to Dallas for Roy Williams

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 15 Comments

A rumor started on ESPN radio today that Chad Johnson could be traded to the Dallas Cowboys for Roy Williams.
Mike Zimmer is the defensive coordinator in Cincinnati which would be a reunion with Williams if the trade occurred. Williams already has his guaranteed money, so the Cowboys would take an affordable $3 million cap hit.
Wow. What a rumor. Thanks to acruther at the cowboys-forum for bringing this to discussion. Listen Bengals, we will even give you a second round pick and linebacker Bobby Carpenter. That will give your defense a much-needed boost.
If such a rumor turns to be true, this [...]

Undermining Wade Phillips? Give Me a Break Dallas Morning News!

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: None Yet

Jean-Jacques Taylor, a sports columnist for The Dallas Morning News, wrote an article today that I had to read twice because it enraged me so much and I wanted to make sure I read it right. Here is how he starts it:
Jerry Jones should end the sham and just fire Wade Phillips, if that’s what he wants to do. It would be considerably more palatable than listening to the Cowboys’ owner tell us how committed he is to Phillips as his head coach, while he puts together a coaching staff that’s clearly geared [...]

Add No. 13 to the Pro Bowl

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

No one really cares now, but the Dallas Cowboys just added a 13th player to the Pro Bowl, the most worthless football game on Earth.
Greg Ellis, the NFL’s comeback player of the year, was awarded a spot yesterday. Read more here.
Just win the Super Bowl in 2009 guys!

Another Reason Why The Philadelphia Eagles Are Evil

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 10 Comments

There are numerous reasons why the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the NFL’s most evil organizations, but I want to discuss just one of the reasons today.
It’s no secret that the Eagles, Donovan “Baby-girl” McNabb and Terrell Owens didn’t get along. The Eagles suspended Owens for seven games in 2005 for behavior “that was disruptive to the team,” which translates in English as “McNabb is a little girl and you cannot criticize him.”
So, when you suspend a player, that team should eat the results. That includes any money you pay that player. Instead, the Eagles docked Owens’ pay for those [...]

Dallas Cowboys Draft Roy Williams Replacement and Felix Jones With Picks

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 20 Comments

Team
1st Round

1. Miami Dolphins -Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU

The talk about Miami trading this pick is really heating up. Who may take it? The Cowboys…for McFadden. That worries me and a lot of other Cowboys fans. We’ll see. But until then, Miami is likely to take Dorsey, a true monster on the line.

2. St. Louis Rams -Chris Long, DE, Virginia

The Rams have long needed a force on the defensive line and outside. Here he is. If the Rams can snag a good offensive lineman in the 2nd round, they have drastically improved their team to compete in [...]

A Look at the Cowboys 2008 Schedule

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 13 Comments

Although the dates are not solidified, the Dallas Cowboys know who they play next year. That schedule includes only four teams with losing records in 2007-08.
At home, the Cowboys play:

New York Giants: I don’t expect the Giants to make it to the Super Bowl again. But I also don’t think they will roll over. Everyone thought when Tiki retired they’d stink. Oops. The Cowboys will probably split with the Giants if all players and the coach stays.

Philadelphia Eagles: With McNabb traded, these guys will be rebuilding. [...]

Cowboys Eye Dave Campo For Coaching Position

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

As the exodus of Dallas Cowboys coaches appears to have ended, now it’s time to seek out replacements. But I never thought I would hear Dave Campo’s name ever again when it comes to Cowboys coaching openings. But it has and you can read it here.
Campo may replace secondary coach Todd Bowles, who left for Miami. I don’t know what to really say about this. Campo certainly is not a good head coach, at least in my opinion. Those were some of the toughest years to be a Cowboys fan when Campo was coach. I can remember many frustrating [...]

Terry Glenn, Your Time Has Come To Leave The Game

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

If the Dallas Cowboys never traded that 22nd pick last year to the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys very well could have Dwayne Bowe on the team, who was selected by the chiefs with the 23rd pick. But we don’t have him.
With Terrell Owens getting older and Patrick Crayton undeserving of a true No. 2 receiver spot, it is almost certain the Dallas Cowboys will select a wide receiver pretty early in this upcoming draft–that is if the team doesn’t trade away one or both of those two first round picks.
This brings me to Terry Glenn. The Patriots drafted him No. [...]
