It looks like the Dallas Cowboys are in good spirits following a perfect attendance at mandatory minicamp. This includes Micah Parsons, who is still waiting for Jerry Jones to make him a serious contract offer. Given Jones' history, this standoff could bleed into training camp.

Parsons sent a loud message by showing up to minicamp and he plans to report to training camp next month. He has the full support of his Cowboys teammates and even stars around the league.

Browns All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett recently caught up with Abby Jones of DLLS Sports and gave Parsons a ringing endorsement as he seeks a record-setting extension.

"I think he deserves whatever he's earned," Garrett said. "I mean, the guy is special. Once I got the chance to train with him, I've seen his work ethic, I've seen how he attacks the weights, running. He's 100% committed to his craft and getting better every day, and [he's] someone who produces on the field and has that dedication to the game. He should get every penny he's owed."

Myles Garrett's message to Cowboys' Micah Parsons should have Jerry Jones' full attention

If any player knows about issues in contract negotiations, it's Garrett.

The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year publicly asked for a trade out of Cleveland. It seemed the relationship was broken beyond repair until he was offered a deal he couldn't refuse. His four-year $160 million pact is the highest deal for a non-quarterback in NFL history. It reset the market for Parsons and other edge rushers, including Trey Hendrickson and T.J. Watt.

Garrett appreciates Parsons' game from afar, but he's also trained with the Cowboys star. He has a first-hand experience of Parsons' talent. That is an obvious call to the Joneses to make their star happy.

Cowboys history is filled with Hall of Fame players everywhere you look. If Parsons' career proceeds on its current trajectory, he'll have a bust in Canton whenever he decides to hang 'em up. Those caliber of players are worth the investment. Garrett's comments confirm that.

It is beyond overdue that the Joneses start having serious conversations before No. 11 becomes unsettled.
