Summer is right around the corner, which means the Dallas Cowboys are entangled in a contract mess with one of their star players. While Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb's sagas pushed fans to the brink last year, the Micah Parsons rollercoaster is a special kind of malpractice.
There is very little to zero concern about Parsons' future with the organization. The Joneses will eventually make the superstar defender a serious offer. What makes this process so inept is that Parsons has more urgency to get a deal done, even though he would benefit by waiting as long as possible.
Since this saga is destined to take massive left turns and throw fans knee-buckling curveballs, here is a living article that will be updated as the offseason goes on.
Every Micah Parsons contract update as Cowboys drag their feet

Parsons has done and said all of the right things since the talks started. He reported for mandatory minicamp while fellow star pass rushers seeking a new deal T.J. Watt and Trey Hendrickson skipped their teams' respective camps.
While Parsons sat out team drills in minicamp, he participated in a few individual drills. He is clearly itching to get back on the field in a full-time capacity. So much so that he asked Jerry Jones to contact his agent, David Mulugheta, to get the deal over the finish line.
Jones, predictably, has not made the call. That has not stopped Parsons from nudging the front office, however.

In a recent interview with Clarence Hill Jr. of All-City DLLS, Parsons revealed that the contract Watt wants from the Steelers is more than what he discussed with Jones.
Parsons confirmed that he has seen the number Watt is seeking, and understands that his price is going to go up if Watt signs first. It is mind-blowing that Parsons is doing due diligence behind the scenes while the Joneses' continue to twiddle their thumbs.
Per Hill, Parsons knows that he will become the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history whenever the contract gets done. That has helped ease his mind, but he is also "puzzled", as Hill put it, by the lack of movement. He knows the Joneses having nothing to gain by waiting.
We will continue to update Parsons' contract saga in this space. Unless there is a significant update, refer back to this article for all of the latest.
