Thanks to Dallas Cowboys overlord Jerry Jones refusing to get a contract extension with All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons ironed out, every fanbase in the league is envisioning a scenario in which his trade request is fulfilled and he leaves for greener pastures.

The Los Angeles Rams are one of the few teams that can actually make good on their Parsons dreams, as they have the cap space and assets needed to absorb a Micah contract. Not only would Parsons in LA invigorate the fanbase, but it might get Aaron Donald on board as well.

An Instagram account posted an edit of Parsons in a Rams jersey, which prompted a response from Donald. The all-time great defensive tackle said that he would consider getting back into football shape and coming out of retirement if the Rams acquired Parsons.

Parsons seemed receptive to the idea, even tagging agent David Mulugheta in his reply. The two All-Pros are likely just having a bit of fun on social media, but what if these two speak a trade into reality and create another contender in California with Donald back in the mix?

Aaron Donald teases return if Cowboys trade Micah Parsons to Rams

Entertaining the Rams as a hypothetical Parsons trade partner may not be the worst idea in the world for Jerry Jones. Los Angeles has a history of being aggressive when making win-now trades, and the recent Kyren Williams extension shows that this team is trying their hardest to compete.

The Rams have four young defensive linemen worth trading away in 2023 picks Kobie Turner and Byron Young as well as 2024 standouts like Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. One or more of them could come to Dallas in any Parsons deal. While Les Snead has drafted well, he has proven to be very cavalier about trading draft picks.

In a competitive marketplace with Sean McVay as their head coach, the Rams are always trying to put a winning product on the field. This could ignite a Parsons pursuit that becomes more than playful banter between two players online and materializes into something robust.

Even after so much time off, one would imagine that Donald has enough talent to still be a very effective player next to Parsons. If the Rams hold on to Verse in a hypothetical Parsons swap, the Cowboys may have helped them write their ticket to a championship.
