Jerry Jones certainly loves to hear himself speak, and his latest Micah Parsons update might be the nail in the coffin for the Dallas Cowboys. I don't know if you guys have heard this recently, but Micah Parsons wants out of Dallas and is clearly fed up with Jerry Jones.

Aren't we all?

The Cowboys have honestly suffered for years, and much of that suffering is due to Jerry Jones and the puzzling decisions he's made. Well, he was again pressed about the Micah Parsons' situation and gave what is perhaps the worst update of them all thus far.

Jerry Jones flatly says he isn't confident Micah Parsons will be on the field for Week 1

Point-blank, Jones was asked if he was confident that Parsons would be on the field for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he responded with this:

Arguably the best pass rusher in the NFL and the best player on the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons has been due for an extension for over a year now. Heck, the Denver Broncos had no issues extending their stud defensive player from the 2021 NFL Draft, but the Cowboys find themselves in quite a situation.

And ever since Parsons went public with that trade request, you truly get the sense that he will indeed be willing to holdout of regular season games until he gets paid. Furthermore, we've kind of seen this before where Jerry Jones will twiddle his thumbs and then proceed to get a contract done at the last second.

I believe I can speak for all Cowboys' fans when I say that Jones needs to quit messing around and talking to the media all day - he and the rest of the Dallas front office has to sit down and get this deal done. The Cowboys' defense is going to struggle enough, but not having Micah Parsons in the picture is going to make them struggle even more.
