Since the Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons this past summer, Cowboys fans have been salivating over the idea of bringing Maxx Crosby to the Lone Star State. After all, his time in Las Vegas seems to be nearing its end, which Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer has confirmed.

During an appearance on Yahoo Sports Daily, Glazer revealed that he believes the five-time Pro Bowler's time in Sin City is coming to an end. That was the normal part. He then proceeded to follow it up with the bombshell that Crosby could net a larger return than Parsons did, which is blasphemous.

Given that Jerry Jones got two first-round picks and Kenny Clark from Green Bay out of Parsons, that's a pretty hefty price. There are two ways to look at this: either Dallas grossly misplayed their hand and didn't get enough for him, or teams are insanely desperate to add a star pass-rusher.

If you ask me, we're definitely talking about the former, since I think the Penn State product could've gone for three first-rounders just like Crosby may, so he would be making a huge mistake if that's the price he pays for Mad Maxx.

Knowing how this front office operates, Jerry must be foaming at the mouth right now. Landing two first-rounders and Clark for Parsons, just to give up more assets for an older, worse pass-rusher is classic Jerry. This defense was historically bad, but burning away draft picks isn't the way to fix this.

Having Crosby and Quinnen Williams is better than having just Micah, but it doesn't offset the draft capital it would take to do so. What the Cowboys should do is just hold off until the 2026 NFL Draft, where they can do more to rebuild this defense and add young pieces for new DC Christian Parker.

Parsons is 26 and will turn 27 in May, while Crosby is entering his age-29 season. Not to mention, he logged 2.5 more sacks than him in 2025 despite playing in one less game. Someone explain to me how Crosby could warrant a larger return other than ineptitude, because I'm not sure I see the vision.

It's not like the demand for Crosby will be any greater. The only difference is that the Raiders are publicly more willing to trade him, where is where Jerry messed up with Micah. He also swung that deal two weeks before the season, while John Spytek is being smart and utilizing the full offseason.

Crosby was a viable trade target beforehand, but this is an exorbitant price to pay, and one Jerry wasn't willing to pay his home-grown talent, so why would he decide to come to his senses now? Either this is an exaggerated report or Jerry Jones really screwed the pooch with this divorce.
