The Dallas Cowboys are sitting and laughing while the Philadelphia Eagles are making a fool of themselves for the whole world to see. In fact, Cowboys fans should be keeping their popcorn ready, as the Eagles' mismanagement of the A.J. Brown situation is the best comedy we've seen in months.

The Eagles' exorbitant price tag in trade negotiations has seen the Brown trade market become dryer than the Sahara. The New England Patriots have been the runaway favorites to acquire the 28-year-old, but reportedly, Howie Roseman still decided to reject a more-than-generous offer from the Pats.

Per a report from Anthony Gargano, the Patriots offered the Eagles a first and a third-round pick for Brown, yet Roseman isn't budging on his price. They apparently want a first and a second-round pick for a guy they've dangled in trade talks for months, which is the most ridiculous thing I've seen all day.

The Eagles innate stubbornness and offensive ineptitude led to the with Brown in the first place, so it's only right that Roseman continue the cycle. They aren't going to get a better offer than this, so at this point, they should reveal their plans to keep him instead of stirring up a lot of unnecessary drama.

Dallas Cowboys fans can only laugh at the Eagles' mismanagement of the A.J. Brown saga

You can complain all you want about the way that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys have handled the George Pickens saga, but the Eagles are making this look like child's play. They are burning every bridge imaginable with the three-time Pro Bowler on his way out, which is textbook mismanagement.

At least the Cowboys are trying to mend things with Pickens and Jerry has been public in his desire to bring him back. While the Eagles are praising Brown publicly, they're shopping him. At least Dallas knows better than to even field offers on their star WR, even if the circumstances are very different.

The D.J. Moore trade also changes things, because if he went for a second-rounder (albeit to an incompetent organization), No. 11 is worth at least a first-round pick. So that level of stubbornness at least makes sense, but nobody is giving up that haul for a guy who has all but admitted he wants out.

Frankly, the Eagles don't have much leverage. If they keep him, they risk dealing with additional PR, and if they trade him, they are getting rid of a pivotal part of their offense for pennies on the dollar. It's a no-win situation, but there's no outcome where the Cowboys exit this situation in a worse situation.

There's nothing more enjoyable to see than Dallas' main competition for the NFC East title looking this incompetent to start off the offseason, especially if the Cowboys are able to out-bid Roseman and the Eagles to land Maxx Crosby from Vegas.
