Matt Thornton is a professional sports writer and reporter covering the NFL Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, NBA Dallas Mavericks, MLB Texas Rangers, MLS FC Dallas, MASL Dallas Sidekicks, and Southern Methodist University Athletics. Thornton is also the Sports Editor for the Dallas Entertainment Journal. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and is a member of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), Professional Football Writers Association (PFWA), Professional Basketball Writers Association (PBWA), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), International Federation of Journalists, and the National Writers Union UAW Local 1981.
