The Dallas Cowboys absolutely dominated the formerly 8-1 Minnesota Vikings in Week 11. Most of the nation watched in awe as a team that got embarrassed in Week 10 completely flipped things around against a truly formidable opponent.

The Dallas offense looked better than ever on both the ground and in the air, and the Cowboys’ defense was finally able to successfully stop the run and apply pressure for the first time in a few games.

The game was so one-sided that CBS even switched away from the nationally broadcast game before the fourth quarter even started because it wasn’t competitive enough. However, switching the game didn’t stop one significant person from seeing what the Cowboys could do — free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr.

For the past couple of weeks, rumors have been swirling around the league as to where the 30-year-old receiver will end up after he fully heals from the ACL tear he sustained while helping the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl in 2022. While many teams have expressed interest, the Cowboys have not been shy about their desire for OBJ.

Jerry Jones has openly praised the receiver in interviews. Players have done their part in trying to recruit the receiver to Dallas. It’s very clear that everyone on this team is in favor of adding the veteran.

However, the Cowboys’ dominating win over the Vikings may have helped with recruiting even more than all of that. While he didn’t directly mention Dallas, it’s pretty much implied that his below tweet was in reference to the major victory over the Vikings.

Cowboys players were very happy about the tweet, to say the least. Several retweeted OBJ’s message to essentially say, “get your butt over here and dominate with us.”

First came Micah Parsons who continued his recruiting tour of OBJ by urging him to join the Cowboys once again.

Then came veteran defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence who wasn’t shy at all about his comments. He urged OBJ to “make the right decision.”

Rookie Sam Williams responded with a simple smiling emoji. Perhaps smiling because he thinks this means the Cowboys have the upper hand?

Safety Jayron Kearse didn’t even question it. He was operating from the assumption that this is going to happen and the team will get even more dominant.

Beckham Jr. is clearly watching what is going on around the league and is waiting to join a team that he feels is a good fit, and there’s an update on that, too.

On Sunday morning, NFL Media reported that the free agent plans to visit both the Giants and the Cowboys after Thanksgiving. He may meet with other teams, but those two are definitely in the books.

This was corroborated by Jones himself. When asked about OBJ after the win on Sunday night (as he has been asked for several weeks now), the Cowboys owner said that the team absolutely plans to sit down with the Pro Bowler.

Now, it looks like not only will the Cowboys and Giants be battling for a win and a step up in the NFC East on Thanksgiving, but they may also be competing for a chance to prove which is the better match for OBJ, who certainly wants to land with a winning team when all is said and done.

If Week 11 was any indication, things are in Dallas’ favor. The Cowboys demolished an 8-1 team while the Giants lost at home to a subpar Lions team.

The saga continues. However, if his Twitter implies anything, OBJ definitely seems impressed with America’s Team right now.
