Cowboys vs Giants early prediction and odds: DAL heavily favored
What better way to head into Thanksgiving week than coming off an impressive 40-3 dominating victory over the once 8-1 Minnesota Vikings? The Dallas Cowboys took their embarrassing loss over the Green Bay Packers and turned it into an incredible performance on all three phases in Minneapolis.
The best part about the runaway victory was that the Dallas starters got to get some rest before a short week. Now, they have just four days to prepare for the 7-3 New York Giants.
This is the second meeting between the two NFC East teams and the Cowboys are looking to feast on New York once again. Last time, the Cowboys were able to beat the Giants with Cooper Rush at the helm. This time around, Dallas is a much different team.
It is pretty shocking that the Giants are 7-3, but their last loss (from Sunday) is worth noting. The Giants lost to the now 4-6 Detroit Lions in embarrassing fashion. The team did not look like a 7-3 football team. New York had three turnovers and Barkley was limited to just 22 yards.
The Cowboys are the clear favorites in this one, and we are hoping America’s Team gives us a victory as sweet as pumpkin pie.
Cowboys vs Giants Odds, Spread, Moneyline for Week 12
At the time of writing, the Week 12 betting odds on FanDuel have Dallas as 8.5-point favorites at home on Sunday. Dallas is -400 on the moneyline, while the Giants are underdogs at +315. The total for the game is set at 43.5 points.
This is by far the most the Cowboys have been favored by this season. However, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise given how dominant Dallas was on Sunday in Minneapolis. Plus, the Cowboys had an easy time against New York back in Week 3 and this team has grown a lot since then. The Giants, on the other hand, seem to be getting lucky.
Cowboys vs Giants Prediction and Preview for Week 12
We never want to count out an opponent but we are with the oddsmakers. This is a massive game for Dallas and they know it. With a chance to sweep the Giants this season and put themselves in a great position in the NFC East and NFC in general, the Cowboys know this is a must-win game.
While Dak Prescott is 9-2 against the Giants and will likely have another great performance on Thanksgiving, this will likely be another great showing for the Cowboys’ defense. If they could hold Dalvin Cook to 72 yards and zero touchdowns, they will certainly be able to do the same against Barkley — especially if the Lions held him to only 22 yards.
Plus, the passing game was essentially nonexistent for the Vikings, and it’s fair to say Minnesota’s offensive prowess is far better than the Giants.
This should be a fun game all around that ends in a victory and another sweep of the Giants.
We believe the Cowboys will take down the Giants by a score of 35-10.
