2. Baron Browning, Edge

Browning has quite an interesting story. After landing with the Broncos in 2021 as a third-round pick out of Ohio State, the former linebacker, unfortunately, got hurt during the offseason. A subsequent concussion kept him off the field even longer. Browning wouldn’t return until Week 8. When he returned, he had a great rookie season. The Ohio State product was tasked with helping fill in due to injuries to LB starters Josey Jewell and Alexander Johnson.

But, now, Browning is making a switch. The staff has moved him to defensive end. With Gregory out, this is a great chance for the young player to show why he was moved to the edge rushing position. He will definitely get meaningful reps during the preseason.

While making that transition, unless your Micah Parsons, can be challenging, the Broncos staff seems pleased with Browning’s progress. And, so are his teammates. Here’s what Bradley Chubb said about Browning this offseason:

"“It’s crazy when it comes to Baron. The natural skills he has for the position— it’s amazing. You’ll see him out there and he just throws his shoulder down. To him, it feels like he’s doing just that, but on film, it looks like the craziest thing ever.”"

Given his 9.98 relative athletic score in the Combine, it’s no surprise that Browning is succeeding in this role.
