Buy: What will Kellen Moore’s offense look like?

This is the biggest unanswered question entering into training camp. And I don’t believe we’ll get the full answer until Week One of the regular season. But the Cowboys should show us glimpses of Kellen Moore’s new disguise-centric offense during training camp. But I wouldn’t expect anything but vanilla plays being called in the preseason.

I certainly buy the mystery surrounding the new offensive coordinator’s plans as a legit narrative throughout training camp. And it’s one that should have fans excited by the possibilities.

The Cowboys certainly will not throw out the playbook that secured them three-winning seasons and two playoff berths in the past three years. And as a disciple of former offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, Moore isn’t expected to revolutionize the way things are done in Dallas.

As Amari Cooper explained, the Cowboys are pretty much running the same plays, they’re just attempting to disguise them better using different formations and motion. But you also have to believe Moore has his own thoughts and philosophy on playcalling. So look for the young OC to shake things up there as well.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll get many answers about the offense in the coming weeks as Dallas is certainly leery of tipping their hand to future opponents.
