Another offseason, another ho-hum free agency period for the Dallas Cowboys.

It's anyone's guess as to when Jerry Jones will finally live up to his "all-in" claims, but fans have to be growing tired of the mediocre additions and lack of headline-type moves at this point.

Come the 2025 NFL Draft, Jones and the Cowboys have a chance to make some bigger waves. If Dallas wanted to come out swinging, maybe they'd pull off a trade or two that grabs the fans' attention. Whether it be trading up or trading down, let's look at a few realistic deals the Cowboys could make.

The Cowboys could pay the price to draft Ashton Jeanty

One of the most popular prospects among Cowboys fans and NFL fans in general is Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. And, one of the top teams rumored to be a good fit is the Chicago Bears, who pick two spots ahead of Dallas.

Bears draft trade

It would take quite a bit to move up just two spots for Jeanty, assuming the Bears want him and also assuming he's on the board. It would be difficult to talk the Bears out of drafting Jeanty if Ben Johnson is in on him.

But, netting another third-round pick could be too sweet for the Bears to pass on. It's a hefty price, but would give the Cowboys the draft's best running back and fill a gigantic hole that's been gaping for a while now.

Dallas should explore finding another wide receiver if it makes sense

The idea of drafting a wide receiver early on is a tantalizing one for many Cowboys fans, but what if the cards don't fall that way? Dallas could actually have a very viable option later on.

Colts draft trade

Alec Pierce is entering the final year of his rookie contract and the Colts love Josh Downs, are committed to Michael Pittman Jr. and just selected Adonai Mitchell in the second round last year. That certainly makes Pierce expendable, and maybe Indy would want to try and get something in return for a talented wideout who just hasn't gotten involved enough.

The Cowboys could take a risk passing on a player for additional capital

Finally, we're going to steer in the opposite direction of where one of the recent mock drafts has the Cowboys going. The Bengals are going all-in with Joe Burrow and company this year, and even though they re-signed Mike Gesicki, getting their hands on Penn State tight end Tyler Warren could be tempting for Cincy.

Bengals draft trade

Of course, the Cowboys would love having Warren as well. So, in moving back five spots in the first round, Dallas would make the Bengals pay up. Indeed, they do, with the Cowboys receiving Cincinnati's third rounder this year.

The Bengals pay a steep price to go up and get the draft's top tight end, while the Cowboys move back a few spots and still have options after watching Ashton Jeanty get taken in the top 10. Truthfully, it's the Jeanty pick that makes this make more sense for Dallas. Fans would love Jeanty in Dallas, but if he's gone by pick 12, why not see what they could get in a trade-back scenario?
