Watch Trevon Diggs hurl NSFW insult at Dak Prescott after defensive stop
By Jerry Trotta
The pads have come out in Oxnard. With that, the intensity at Dallas Cowboys training camp has ramped up several notches. Some players have exchanged words between snaps, but teammates and coaches were able to separate them before any serious pushing and shoving transpired.
On Tuesday, Trevon Diggs returned to practice and brought with him a competitive edge that had been missing while he was shelved with a toe injury.
Diggs brought out all the trash talk at the team's second padded practice.
During red zone drills, Diggs made a great play to break up a likely touchdown from Dak Prescott to KaVontae Turpin. Diggs celebrated accordingly and had some words for his quarterback as both sides went back to the huddle.

The Cowboys will be better for this, folks. Competition brings out the best in high-level athletes, and trash talk is a big part of that.
Prescott had the offense humming during red zone drills, so perhaps Diggs tried keeping his quarterback grounded.
A few plays later, Prescott second-guessed scrambling for a touchdown and ran out of bounds a couple yards shy of the end zone. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. No sense in Prescott lowering his shoulder and risking injury. That's what the red QB jersey is there for.
Again, though, Diggs was right there chirping at Prescott. This time, Diggs directed some NSFW words at the two-time Pro Bowler. It's unclear if Dak said anything in return, but he made sure to throw the football at Diggs as he jogged back to the huddle.
Please don't make this anything more than it is.
We've noticed fans on social media say Prescott and Diggs have no respect for each other. That couldn't be further from the truth. They're extremely close behind the scenes. This is simply high-level competition at its finest.
You know what would actually be concerning? If there was no trash talk taking place. That'd be an indictment on the coaching staff and players.
Luckily, the Cowboys don't have that problem. Diggs brought the fire on Tuesday. Maybe Jayron Kearse will get the juices flowing Wednesday, with Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb or one of the big fellas up front following their lead.
Again, this is a nothing-burger. It might seem personal in the moment, but the Cowboys will be better off for it in the long run.
