Week 17: Lions @ Cowboys

The Detroit Lions are also in play for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and just suffered a disheartening loss on Thanksgiving. Suddenly the powerhouse in the NFC North, Detroit had a chance to stick a nail in the coffin of the Green Bay Packers. Instead, they allowed Green Bay to keep hope alive as they improved to 5-6 thanks to a 29-22 win.

Detroit is 8-3, so overall, that loss will have no impact on their division title. Still, it would have been nice for them to hand the Packers another loss. It would have also kept them just one game behind the Eagles for the top seed.

That loss also opens the door for Dallas to leapfrog them. Even with the los in Week 16 (according to this prediction), the Lions will fall behind the Cowboys with a loss. Considering this one is at AT&T Stadium, where Dallas is playing fantastic football, that's exactly what happens.

Detroit is a good team and they're going to be a problem for a while. Having said that, they're still learning how to win — which isn't an easy thing to do in the NFL. That's why the Cowboys can pull away with this one thanks to a second-half surge.

Score Prediction: Cowboys 37, Lions 20
Record 12-4
