Week 14: Eagles @ Cowboys

This is the game that will matter more than any other during the final stretch of the season. If Dallas wants to have any shot at taking the No. 1 seed, they're going to have to knock off the Eagles. They nearly did back in Week 9 despite having practically no shot.

Following a frustrating third quarter that saw Philly put up 14 points while Dallas had none, the Cowboys scored six in the final quarter. Dak Prescott stepped out of bounds on a two-point attempt which meant they needed a touchdown when they did get it back — and they had just 46 seconds. Starting at their own 14, it felt like a lost cause but they actually got it all the way to the Philadelphia six. That's when disaster struck.

A false start from Tyler Smith moved them back five yards. Then, Terence Steele was unable to slow Josh Sweat at all as he sacked Prescott for an 11-yard loss. A delay of game moved them back five more yards and they were suddenly facing a third-and-26 from the Eagles 27.

Despite the loss, the Cowboys gained some confidence in this one. They know they had the comeback on the road but then beat themselves with mistakes. Since then, they've won three in a row and have outscored their opponents 127-37. There have been those who say the wins don't matter since they were against bad teams but that's what they're supposed to do against such teams.

In Week 14, look for them to even the series up against the Eagles with a win at home. They still will get no credit with the new narrative being that they just beat a divisional rival. Still, it will be enough to keep them in the race for the No. 1 seed. But they will still need some outside help, which will be tough since Philly has a rather easy final stretch — although, no one will try and knock them for this the way they do to Dallas.

Score Prediction: Cowboys 35, Eagles 24
Record 10-3
