Lions vs. Cowboys Final Score Prediction for Week 17

We're being treated to some Saturday Night Football action between two NFC playoff teams when the Dallas Cowboys host the Detroit Lions.

In this article, I'm going to attempt to do the improbable and predict the exact final score of the game. Let's take a quick look at the odds and then I'll break down exactly how much I think tonight will go.

If you read my betting preview, you know that I like the OVER in this game. There's no arguing that offense is the superior unit for both teams involved in tonight's game.

Even the Cowboys, who had a dominant defense to start the season, have stumbled on that side of the football as the season has progressed. Heading into this week, they're 23rd in opponent success rate and rank around the middle of the pack in most other defensive metrics.

With that being said, I do think the Cowboys will win this game. They've been arguably the best home team in the NFL this season and even though their defense has stumbled, they've still been posting betting numbers than the Lions.

Detroit has a Net Yards per Play of -0.3 when playing on the road, so we can comfortably bet against them tonight. With that being said, their offense is good enough to help contribute to the OVER.
