The Dallas Cowboys made it through training camp without crushing injury news. That narrative ended swiftly Saturday night against the Seahawks, as DeMarvion Overshown was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury.
Overshown was quickly ruled out for the game with a knee injury and the fear is he suffered a torn ACL, per Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
The 2023 third-round pick will undergo further testing to confirm the injury's severity, but the initial news leaves little (if any) room for optimism.
Cowboys fear that rookie LB DeMarvion Overshown may have torn his left ACL in tonight's game vs. Seahawks, two people familiar with situation said. An MRI, however, is needed to grasp injury's nature. Team hopes for good news, but there's concern on talented third-round pick.

Cowboys fear rookie LB DeMarvion Overshown suffered torn ACL vs Seahawks.
The injury occurred when Overshown tackled Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet. What's odd, though, is that Overshown was fine after the play. Once he tried standing up, he struggled putting wait on his left leg.
While Overshown walked off the field under his own power, the broadcast later showed him getting carted to the locker room.
Here's a look at the injury.

Fans can only hope Overshown avoided the worst.
A standout at Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, Overshown starred in Dallas' first preseason fixture against the Jaguars. He led the team at halftime with six tackles and showed excellent closing speed and range defending the run and chasing ball-carriers after the catch.
Those intangibles have fans excited about the rookie's potential impact on Dan Quinn's defense. He quickly ascended up the linebacker totem pole and he's expected to be the top backup behind Leighton Vander Esch and Damone Clark.
If the injury is as serious as feared, linebacker depth is suddenly a major concern again for the Cowboys.
