DeMarcus Lawrence's NSFW postgame quote will get Cowboys fans fired up for playoffs
By Jerry Trotta
The Dallas Cowboys are NFC East champs and the No. 2 seed. This didn't seem possible just two weeks ago, but the Cowboys finished the season with two straight wins and will now host the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the playoffs.
The Cowboys making the playoffs is nothing new for veterans like DeMarcus Lawrence and Dak Prescott. With the Eagles closing their season with an embarrassing loss to the Giants, Dallas would've made it regardless of what they did on Sunday.
Everyone agrees that they had to win, though. While winning the division would still spark celebrations, momentum and confidence hold a ton of weight in the NFL. With the win, the Cowboys are oozing confidence and their momentum is undeniable as they prepare for the inexperienced Packers.
Just ask Lawrence, who was full of emotion after the NFC-East-clinching win.

Can, uh, the playoffs start tomorrow?
Lawrence is one of many Cowboys players who deserves to make a deep playoff run. Next to Prescott, Lawrence is the undisputed vocal leader of the team and is often seen breaking down the pregame huddle with speeches that make you wonder if he missed his calling as a motivational speaker.
Make no mistake, though: Lawrence was born to play football and his fingerprints were all over Sunday's win against the Commanders. He had an All-Pro-esque sequence in the second quarter when he deflected pass at the line of scrimmage and then generated a pressure that caused an errant throw that Donovan Wilson picked off on the very next play.
The Cowboys only had a 14-10 lead at the time and the turnover allowed them to score a big touchdown before halftime to go up 21-10. From there, Dallas poured it on to win 38-10.
Nothing was stopping Tank from helping his team lock up the No. 2 seed. Based on his postgame celebration, he could've played another full game.
Nobody can match Lawrence's energy.
Lawrence and the Cowboys clearly have their sights set on a Super Bowl, but they recognize the importance of taking the playoffs one game at a time. Prescott even rejected wearing the NFC East champion hats that Lawrence and seemingly every Dallas player and coach were seen wearing.
The celebrations will bleed into late Sunday night and Lawrence and Co. will have the eye of the tiger come Monday morning. That is, if he even sleeps.
