Cowboys 2024 playoff schedule: Dates, TV channel, start times, opponents
By Jerry Trotta
The Dallas Cowboys are officially champions of the NFC East following their win over the Washington Commanders in the Week 18 finale. They've had a playoff berth clinched for several weeks, but the Eagles' unprecedented collapse allowed them to win the division and clinch home field advantage in the playoffs until the NFC Championship Game.
It's the Cowboys third-straight playoff appearance, which underlines the incredible job Mike McCarthy has done since he took over as head coach. There are whispers that McCarthy's job could be in danger if Dallas doesn't make a deep playoff run, though any talk of his future at this juncture is silly.
Cowboys fans should be in celebration mode after another great season. Here's everything we know about Dallas' 2024 playoff schedule.
What seed are the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs?
The Cowboys will be the No. 2 seed in the NFC. That didn't become a possibility until last week when the Eagles lost to the lowly Cardinals. Of course, Dallas needed to hold up its end of the bargain, and they did just that with a narrow win over the Lions in Week 17 and a victory in Washington on Sunday.
Who will the Dallas Cowboys play in the playoffs?
The Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the playoffs. It's a familiar playoff foe for Dallas, but Aaron Rodgers won't be on the other side. Instead it'll be Rodgers' successor, Jordan Love, quarterbacking the Packers. While Love is playing some outstanding ball, Green Bay is a young team with a Swiss-cheese defense. They are without question a better draw for the Cowboys than the Rams.
