With the 124th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select:

Audric Estime, RB, Notre Dame

Overall PFF Grade: 94.2

The Cowboys plans with Tony Pollard didn’t go well in 2023 which has caused the team to change their approach towards running backs in 2024 electing to spend less on the position. In comes Estime, a big-bodied running back who’s a downhill runner with nice vision and patience that allows him to find holes and pick up yards. He can catch the football out of the backfield, but he will need to work on his route running to become a three-down running back.

He is a good pass protector and paired with the Cowboys passing game he would be able to hammer defenders, wearing down defenses that are looking to slow the Cowboys passing attack. It would be a very good pairing and give the Cowboys the physical running game they were missing in 2023.

With the 174th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select:

Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State

Overall PFF Grade: 87.8

The Cowboys are going to need to find themselves a quarterback of the future even with Trey Lance on the roster, it’s not a given he will be in their plans for the future. Travis could be an option for the Cowboys on day three after the unfortunate injury he sustained in 2023. Travis is the type of quarterback the Cowboys had in Dak Prescott early in his career that was able to hurt defenses with his legs. He has a nice feel for the pocket and a quick release that helps him and can hurt defenses in games.

He will be coming back from an ugly injury, but the Cowboys have seen Prescott come back from an injury much like the one Travis sustained so that shouldn’t scare them away. With some coaching and time behind Prescott Travis could develop into the Cowboys next quarterback of the future, much like Jordan Love for the Green Bay Packers.
