2. Ezekiel Elliott, RB

Although he's not part of the Cowboys' 2024 free agent class, Elliott qualifies as a former Cowboy who is still available for any team to sign right now in NFL free agency.

In fact, it might not be the worst idea for a reunion here...

Then again, maybe not. Elliott played for the Patriots last season and was pretty good for them, although not spectacular. He had some moments for them throughout the course of last season, but you almost have to grade the Patriots' offense in 2023 on a curve. They were one of the worst offenses in the league.

Elliott is still just 28 years old, so he will find work this offseason at some point.

3. Stephon Gilmore, CB

The veteran Stephon Gilmore was a really good one-year rental for the Dallas Cowboys in 2023. He allowed just 55.8 percent of throws into his coverage to be completed last year, the 2nd-lowest number he's posted since 2020.

Gilmore is going to be 34 this season, but he's obviously still got what it takes to help a team. There's just not going to be a huge market for corners his age when teams are working to fill out the rest of their roster. He becomes more and more attractive the further the offseason goes along because of his experience and because teams will then be looking to put finishing touches on their rosters.
