3. Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M

2023: 84 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 7 sacks

Edgerrin Cooper is not being talked about enough going into draft season, but you cannot deny his game. The 2023 All-American is a fearless pass-rusher and has shown that in his time as an Aggie. Cooper is a tackling machine, which is something Dallas missed by not having Leighton Vander Esch for most of the year

Many times during the year, Cooper would stall for a few seconds after the play began, tracked the opposing quarterback's eyes and as he began to escape the pocket, Cooper met him with a crushing blow. Cooper has that killer instinct that you used to see in Ray Lewis, who prided himself on making an impact in thunderous fashion.

Cooper's long arms and wide frame give him a wide tackling radius, which allows him to still be in plays even when being held by opposing lineman. His ability to disrupt offenses in many ways is what coaches love the most. Cooper can be played in a handful of phases in the defense which Zimmer would appreciate having.

Cooper would be a perfect counterpart to Micah Parsons. In a league where many defensive stars are often position-less and can dominant in different ways, Cooper has that same type of skill-set to be a modern-type edge rusher.
