We are just a couple of sleeps away from the Dallas Cowboys starting their regular season on the road to take on in-division foe, the New York Giants. The team is continuing install, ensuring they are well prepared for the opener, Jerry Jones is writing checks, trying to get deals done before the season, and fans are desperate for yet another competitive run for their 'Boys.

Every fan is dreaming of what they want Week 1 to look like for their teams, including Cowboys fans. The offense has all the weapons to light up the scoreboard, and the defense is seen as one of the best in all of football. However, the Giants have a respectable team in its own right.

After a surprisingly solid year one under head coach Brian Daboll, the Giants extended quarterback Daniel Jones and made more additions through the draft to attempt to make a run at the NFC East title in 2023. Oh, and they traded for a top five tight end in Darren Waller, who looked awesome in camp and preseason.

This is no slouch that the Cowboys will be facing to begin their 2023 campaign. The Giants last year made their identity as the team that you couldn't count out, and they're going to continue that ideology going into this season.

Looking forward to the game itself, there are a few things that could happen that folks just weren't expecting. Three things stand out as things that could take place against New York, starting with a big-time debut from a newcomer, but perhaps not the ones you may be thinking of.
