1. Dallas Cowboys (12-5)

The Cowboys added a lot of talent to the roster for this upcoming season, and honestly didn't lose much either. Aside from starting TE Dalton Schultz, the other notable "loss" was the team and Kellen Moore "mutually" parting ways. Now, its Mike McCarthy's turn to run the offense, which will be interesting to watch in 2023.

Dak Prescott had a healthy offseason, and is now two years removed from the ankle injury. After struggling with accuracy and getting into rhythms with his receivers after his broken thumb last year, he now should bounce back to his normal self, especially with the talent added to the receiver room in Brandin Cooks and a year-two Jalen Tolbert. The offensive line also looks as stout as its been in a few years and Tony Pollard is finally the lead back in Dallas.

The defense should be nasty yet again under Dan Quinn, led by stars including Defensive Player of the Year favorite Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, DeMarcus Lawrence, and newly-acquired cornerback Stephon Gilmore. The depth on the defense is also very notable on the defensive line and safety rooms specifically. The only real concern is the linebacker room depth with DeMarvion Overshown suffering a season-ending injury and the cornerback depth if a starter were to go down.

In this prediction, the Cowboys and Eagles finish with the same record, but the Cowboys overall edge the Eagles through tiebreakers. This fully represents just how close these teams are in terms of talent and season outlook, and a little help from that pesky NFC East Curse.
