The Dallas Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 4, and of course, the game is being billed as a revenge game with Micah Parsons coming back to town for the first time since being traded.

While Parsons’ relationship with Jerry Jones soured on his way out, the star defender has been open about how much he still loves Cowboys fans and his former teammates. Just recently, Parsons had some good things to say about his former receiver CeeDee Lamb.

The Packers defender said that Lamb is his favorite receiver in the NFL. Although they are no longer teammates, Parsons still likes the way Lamb carries himself and the way he plays. The former Cowboy respects Lamb so much that he’s actually glad the receiver isn’t playing on Sunday, because, “It would be painful to understand who I was going against.”

Micah Parsons is excited he doesn’t have to play against CeeDee Lamb

Parsons already admitted that it’s going to be painful sacking Dak Prescott, saying that the veteran quarterback is his guy, and was always a good mentor to him.

Having to tackle Lamb likely would have been equally painful for the defender. However, that won’t be happening because the star wide receiver will be sidelined Sunday, and potentially longer, after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 3.

Still, Sunday will probably be an emotionally-charged day, regardless of how much both sides try to downplay things or argue there’s no hard feelings.

Parsons may still love his teammates and the city, but there’s no doubt he wants to send a message to Jerry Jones on Sunday. On the other side of the coin, regardless of how much Jones says he’s a fan of Parsons, he certainly doesn’t want to see him come in and dominate his team, just weeks after he traded him away in a heavily criticized move.

Whatever happens before, during, and after the game, it will all unfold in front of the NFL world, in the nationally televised game. Just how Jerry Jones wants it.
