Not much has gone right for the Dallas Cowboys against the Detroit Lions. Most of that has been self-inflicted, but CeeDee Lamb came to play. He's been the one constant for an offense that has looked all out of sorts playing from behind against the Lions' ferocious pass rush.
However, Lamb was removed from the game in the third quarter after taking a hard fall while trying to make an acrobatic catch in the end zone. He nearly made the grab, but he was slow to get up afterward. He was helped off the field and taken to the blue medical tent before being escorted to the locker room.
The four-time Pro Bowler was quickly ruled out by the Cowboys, who scored a few plays later to make the score 27-16. They will have to erase the 11-point deficit without their star wide receiver.

That is a brutal turn of events for the Cowboys. As we noted earlier, Lamb has been electric on a night where the rest of the offense has struggled to protect Dak Prescott and finish off drives. Before leaving, Lamb was comfortably Dallas' leading receiver with six catches for 121 yards.
The scorching hot George Pickens has been held in check to the tune of three catches for 22 yards. He did draw a long pass interference penalty in the second quarter, but that got negated by a Jake Ferguson penalty.
Pickens was also targeted on Prescott's interception to start the second half, so he has struggled to make an impact. However, all season, Pickens has had a penchant for showing up in the clutch. The Cowboys need him to step up now more than ever, now that Lamb has been ruled out.
