It's hard not to be impressed by the Dallas Cowboys' reported 30 visits. The list is a perfect combination of wide receivers, running backs, cornerbacks, defensive linemen and offensive linemen, which are unequivocally the biggest holes on the roster.
The stars may just be aligning for Dallas to come out of the first round, where they own the No. 12 overall pick, with a readymade stud.
The war room will have myriad prospects on its big board to prepare for a potential worse-case scenario. After all, what the Cowboys do with the No. 12 pick hinges on what happens in the 11 picks prior. It seems like a lock that Cam Ward and Travis Hunter will go to Tennessee and Cleveland, respectively, and momentum is building for the Giants to take Abdul Carter third overall.
Picks No. 4 through No. 11 are complete wildcards, however. Wedged in that bunch is none other than Kellen Moore, who is the new Saints head coach, at No. 9 overall.
If Mel Kiper's newest (and final) mock draft is any indication, Moore and the Saints could do Dallas a huge favor on draft night.
Kellen Moore could do the Cowboys a huge favor in first round of 2025 NFL Draft
Kiper mocked Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the Saints. Why is that good news for Dallas? Well, the Cowboys obviously aren't targeting a quarterback. New Orleans drafting Sanders would knock other top prospects down the board, which could give America's Team its pick of the litter in round one.
"If Sanders doesn't go to the Giants, there aren't many clear landing spots for him in the top 10 ... and he could slide," Kiper writes. "I could see a team trading up for him -- maybe even the Saints, who have nine picks -- but most of these rosters are already set at quarterback. This is a great outcome for New Orleans, though. I like this match a lot."

It is clear Moore isn't committed to Carr as the team's long-term quarterback. In a perfect world, Moore would likely dump Carr this offseason, but the veteran has said he won't move his money around to help the Saints' cap situation. Either way, this season will likely be Carr's last in the Big Easy.
After all, Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that may knock him out for the start of the season. You have to think QB is a priority for the Saints in the draft.
Like Dallas, New Orleans has needs at receiver, cornerback and offensive line. But quarterback is a huge question mark after 2025. It's even an urgent need in light of Carr's injury.
The Saints have nine draft picks this year, but the first round is undoubtedly the best bet to find a franchise guy. The hit rate on second, third and fourth-rounders is extremely erratic. Taking Sanders ninth overall might be their best option.
That would open the door wide open for the Cowboys to draft Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who is the top wideout in this class. Kiper had Dallas taking North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton, but multiple Cowboys insiders have thrown cold water on Hampton at 12.
McMillan could always go to the Jaguars at No. 5 or the Raiders at No. 6, but Moore may ultimately hold the keys to the former Wildcat falling to the Cowboys.
