It took over a year for Jerry Jones to live up to his "all-in" promise. Now, with some offseason additions like George Pickens, Javonte Williams, Kaiir Elam and Kenneth Murray paired with an excellent draft class, the Dallas Cowboys finally have the tools they need to compete in the NFC East.

The Pickens move did not come without controversy, though. With Pickens' undeniable raw talent of making circus catches, his on-field antics have been criticized for years. Former Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis has his own story to tell after last year's matchup against Pittsburgh.

The Pickens trade is understandably gaining plenty of attention in the NFL media. Former Heisman Trophy winner and former quarterback Robert Griffin III talked about the move on his podcast 'Outta Pocket with RGIII.' He strongly believes Dallas now has what it takes to make some magic.

Griffin III says Cowboys look 'more promising' after Pickens trade

The Philadelphia Eagles have some of the best weapons in the NFL, hence their Super Bowl victory last season. With the upgrade of Pickens, Griffin III is giving Jones some huge credit for actually staying true to his word. Because of Pickens, Griffin III says the Cowboys now have one of the best WR duos in the NFL to compete with Philadelphia.

"Just like that, the Cowboys flipped the script and just made the outlook on their season look so much more promising," Griffin III said.

After all, the Pickens trade looks like a short-term project anyway. With Pickens not wanting a contract extension for now, the feeling between the organization, the fans and Pickens itself seems to be mutual.

Griffin also talked about how this is the best offensive group that Dak Prescott has ever seen. While adding to Prescott's previous playoff failures, Griffin claims this is also Prescott's last gasp to prove he belongs in elite quarterback company.

"This is Dak Prescott's last best chance to show Cowboys Nation that he can get it done," Griffin said.

The controversy of the Pickens signing will continue into the upcoming season, but if we wipe away all of the on-field antics of Pickens, this does look to be a great team on paper. It's just a matter of keeping the squad healthy enough to get back to the playoffs.
