The hate for Dak Prescott has never been obvious. NFL media has done nothing but slander him all summer long ranking him in mid-tier category among the quarterbacks in the NFL.

Of course, even Cowboys fans would agree that Prescott has to get over the hump come playoff time, but he deserves more credit for his individual achievements. Prescott was voted second for the MVP award back in 2023 when the Cowboys had one of their best offenses ever during the regular season. Since his injury in 2024, it appears the NFL media is trying to wipe Prescott off the face of the earth.

Now, Pro Football Focus has Prescott in elite company with Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. MVP candidates? Sure. These are also the best quarterbacks in the NFL against the blitz, and this puts a narrative in favor of Prescott rather than the slander he's been under for the last few months.

Prescott listed as the No. 3 quarterback in the NFL against the blitz

Putting yourself into Allen territory is great enough, but this proves that Prescott is one of the best with defenders rushing at him. Prescott's scrambling ability along with his accuracy can make for one of the more fun quarterbacks in the NFL.

Prescott is the No. 1 paid player by highest annual salaries. This shows that he better put his money where is mouth is somewhere. Even if he usually hasn't been a historically elite quarterback in the playoffs, being in elite territory against the blitz is one of the more tougher things to do as an NFL quarterback.

Two of these quarterbacks have won MVP, with Allen winning once and Jackson winning twice. Burrow has had his own injuries before, but he's been proven to be an underrated runner when he's under pressure.

Prescott isn't known for his running ability, but can take off when he needs to. Prescott is also the elder on this list, showing that his IQ plays a huge part of being involved in elite category here.

Cowboys fans and haters were probably surprised to see that Prescott was on this list, but like we always say, it won't matter until Prescott finally takes America's Team back to the NFC Championship after 30 years.
