Cowboys' two big trades have done nothing to improve their Super Bowl 60 odds

One could make a pretty penny if America's Team shocked the world and actually won the Super Bowl.

At the moment the final second ticked off the clock of the Dallas Cowboys' embarrassing 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals this past Monday night, the 2025 NFL regular season officially reached its halfway point, which is a little hard to believe.

Tuesday was at least a little more exciting for fans of America's Team, as Jerry Jones made a couple of trades in an effort to bolster the dreadful Dallas defense, first acquiring linebacker Logan Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals and then making one of the biggest deals of the day by acquiring superstar defensive tackle Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets.

This duo will undoubtedly make the defense better—at least one would think—and Matt Eberflus' unit certainly needed an upgrade, as the Cowboys have allowed the second-most total yards per game (397.4) and the second-most points per contest (30.8) through the first half of the season. Eberflus has the Cincinnati Bengals to thank for not ranking dead last in both categories.

As for the Dallas offense, despite a couple of lackluster performances over the last two weeks, the Cowboys still rank third in total yards per game (378.4) and fourth in scoring (29.2).

Now, while adding a couple of high-caliber defenders is great and all, this could easily and obviously be a too-little-too-late kind of a situation. With the loss to the Cardinals, the Dallas dropped to 3-5-1 on the year, and while that's sadly good enough for second place in the woeful NFC East, it's only good for 11th in the overall conference standings, which is why the Cowboys' standing in the updated Super Bowl 60 odds is almost exactly the same as it was when the season began.

The Cowboys don't even crack the top 20 in the latest Super Bowl 60 betting odds

Just ahead of the start of the season—basically right after Dallas dealt Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers—we took a look at the Cowboys' odds to win Super Bowl 60. At that time, Brian Schottenheimer's squad was listed at +7000, which ranked 21st overall and 12th in the NFC.

And where do the Cowboys rank now? Take a look.

As you can see, Dallas ranks 21st overall and is tied for 11th among NFC teams alongside the Cardinals and the Atlanta Falcons. It's also obviously worth noting that the Cowboys' odds have gotten significantly longer at +25000. And their odds of just making it to Levi's Stadium in February are +10000.

While not listed above, the Cowboys' odds of winning the NFC East sit at +2000, but the chances of that happening are basically zero at this point, which is why the Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) are going off at -2500 to win the division.

Miracles happen, of course, but that's exactly what it'll take for Dallas to break its three-decade title drought.
