The Dallas Cowboys are all-in on the 2026 NFL season. And although they are just 1-2 in the early going, Jerry Jones proved that this is still the mindset is earlier this week by trading for star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and hinting that the team may not be done making moves.

But that doesn't mean that a keen eye cannot still be kept on the future. After all, the NFL is a never-ending, year-around business, and if you're not already planning ahead for the future, you are behind. So, we're going to take a look at some college football stars who should be on the Cowboys' radar.

Is it early? Certainly. Will a lot change? You bet. But let's start getting these names out there so that everyone is more informed for next April. For these lists, we will focus on players at current positions of need in Dallas, and only those who are eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft.

5 college football studs from Week 5 that deserve the Cowboys' attention

Owen Chambliss, LB, Nebraska

Chambliss' eight tackles in the Cornhuskers' blowout win over Maryland were impressive but not eye-popping. More intriguing is his ability to cover and play in space, as he is a perfect WILL linebacker and could be a long-term complement to Jaishawn Barham.

On Saturday, Chambliss was targeted three times and only gave up one catch, breaking up another. He also made four stops and had a pressure, which isn't unusual for him, as he has the versatility to both line up on the defensive line and blitz from an off-ball linebacker spot.

Brice Pollock, CB, Texas Tech

Let's keep it within state lines for this one. Pollock had a field day against Colorado, picking off two passes and making four tackles. Granted, some of those tackles were because he gave up receptions, but Pollock has great ball skills, and he has a fun ability to play in a safety role at times.

Damon Wilson II, DE, Miami (FL)

Wilson II looked like a man amongst boys against Clemson on Saturday, as he recorded 11 (!) pressures. 11. He was a one-man wrecking crew with 3.0 sacks, two more quarterback hits and six hurries. For a Cowboys team in need of pass rush juice, Wilson II could fit the bill.

Austin Siereveld, RT, Ohio State

Siereveld was flagged twice against Iowa on Saturday, but the good is just so good with him. He pitched a shutout in pass protection once again, and the Buckeyes averaged over five yards per carry running off him. Siereveld sprang a few nice Bo Jackson runs against a tough Hawkeyes front.

DeSean Bishop, RB, Tennessee

Bishop is just special. At 5-foot-10 and 215 pounds, he has great size and power, but also incredible speed and finesse. He logged 220 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground against Auburn on Saturday, and he broke an astounding 10 tackles. Bishop can run in zone or gap concepts, too.
