For the second time in eight years, the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys have reportedly discussed whether to pay Micah Parsons a premium or trade him for a king's ransom. Priorities, right?

That report fittingly dropped hours before Super Bowl 59 kicked off, which tell us that Jerry Jones was craving some attention on the NFL's biggest day.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys' owner, nothing he leaks to the media will distract from the sheer Eagles praise unfolding this week. They deserve every bit of it. They have elite players all over the field, Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts silenced their critics, and Howie Roseman cemented himself as one of the best general managers in modern NFL history.

While Philly will have to do some salary cap maneuvering moving forward, their core isn't going anywhere. The Cowboys, meanwhile, will likely continue to cry poverty and refuse to bring in external talent in the offseason.

Heck, they're already playing games with Parsons' contract. CeeDee Lamb caught wind of the nonsense and promptly called it out.

Lamb is a voice for all Cowboys fans, who are beyond tired of the nonsense.

The only reason trading Parsons is even being floated by the media is because the Joneses waited until the final year of his rookie contract to negotiate an extension. It was clear from Parsons' first days in the league that he is a player you build your team around.

The Cowboys did the same thing with Lamb, who didn't sign until the end of training camp last summer. Dak Prescott followed shortly thereafter. Both Lamb and Prescott should have been signed during the 2023 offseason. The Joneses dragging their feet allowed trade speculation to unfairly follow Lamb and Prescott all summer even though they were committed to Dallas.

Rest assured, the Eagles would have had Parsons locked up two years ago. They extended stars DeVonta Smith and Landon Dickerson, who were both drafted the year after Lamb in 2021, last offseason. They also extended A.J. Brown, Jordan Mailata and kicker (!) Jake Elliott.

That didn't stop Philadelphia from making Saquon Barkley one of the highest-paid running backs, signing linebacker Zack Baun, who was outstanding all playoffs, or committing over $30 million to safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in free agency.

Meanwhile in Dallas, the Joneses claimed they couldn't spend any money last offseason because they had to pay Prescott and Lamb ... who should have already been locked up.

The entire NFL world has caught up to the Joneses antics after last offseason, which was supposed to be "all-in." While it is great to see the world turn on Jerry and Stephen, it is equally embarrassing that Lamb felt the need to put the organization on blast over the Parsons nonsense.

If that doesn't show the prodigious gulf between the Cowboys and Eagles, nothing does.
