The Dallas Cowboys' Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions already had enough juice given the controversial ending to last year's game at AT&T Stadium. The Lions feel they were screwed out of a big win late in the season so they have plenty of motivation.

It makes for a compelling game, but Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis added another layer of intrigue with his response to Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who said over the summer that Lewis was "talking crazy in last year's matchup.

"I honestly don't remember," said Lewis. "Sometimes I just black out, just go somewhere else with it. But if I said anything disrespectful, I'd probably say it again."

That is a legendary quote from Lewis, who is playing the best ball of his career. The Cowboys will need him to bring the goods on Sunday in order to slow down St-Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta and the Lions' high-octane passing attack.

Hopefully the announcers and referees are on their game for this clash of NFC heavyweights because last year's meeting taught us to expect the unexpected.

Announcers for Cowboys vs. Lions

  • Network: FOX
  • Play-by-play: Kevin Burkhardt
  • Color commentary: Tom Brady
  • Sideline reporter: Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi

Back like they never left, FOX's No. 1 team of Kevin Burkardt and Tom Brady will be on the call for Cowboys vs. Lions. Burkhardt and Brady called each of Dallas' first three games, including their 12 p.m. CT start against the Saints in Week 2. The Cowboys played in primetime the last two weeks, which would explain the two-week respite from Burkhardt and Brady.

Burkhardt and Brady are a solid tandem that's improving every week, but Cowboys fans understandably have fatigue given the NFL has essentially made them Dallas' unofficial broadcast team.

Referees for Cowboys vs. Lions

The head referee for Sunday's game is John Hussey, who actually has the second-lowest penalty count among all officiating crews this season. In his most recent game, though, (Falcons vs. Saints in Week 4), Hussey's crew called a whopping 15 penalties.

Cowboys fans should brace for false starts and holdings on Sunday. According to NFLPenalties.com, Hussey's crew has called 10 false starts and nine holding penalties.

Here is the rest of the crew that will be calling the game with Hussey:

  • Umpire: Tony Michalek
  • Down Judge: Max Causey
  • Line Judge: Carl Johnson
  • Side Judge: Allen Baynes
  • Field Judge: Anthony Flemming
  • Back Judge: Matt Edwards
