With four weeks of the 2026 NFL season now in the past, certain fanbases will have their 2027 NFL Mock Drafts locked and loaded amid a slow start. The Dallas Cowboys may be one of them after being inches away from a 1-3 start.
On top of the fact that this quarterback class is being heralded as one of the best in recent memory, there are studs aplenty on the defensive line and in the secondary.
Even though the order is far from finalized, some teams may already be pivoting into 2027 and beyond.
2027 NFL Mock Draft four weeks into season
ROUND 1
1. Houston Texans: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
Why can't the Texans go wide receiver No. 1 overall? Smith and Nico Collins would be the best 1-2 punch at wide receiver since Andre Johnson's prime, all while giving C.J. Stroud the best receiver he has had in his career.
2. Tennessee Titans: Arch Manning, QB, Texas
If the Titans are picking at this point, that likely means Cam Ward has continued to struggle. With a new stadium coming, bringing a Manning back to the state of Tennessee will inject some life in a franchise that has lost all their positive momentum.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas
Simmons is the surest non-Smith bet in this class, as he has been an absolute demon who screams off the edge. The best pass rusher in this class, Tampa Bay could build their defense of the future around him and Rueben Bain Jr.
4. Los Angeles Chargers: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
Getting Justin Herbert a receiver would make sense, but Moore is a no-doubt Day 1 starter who could give their secondary another playmaker on the outside. This would also end LA's trend of choosing not to spend a ton of resources on their cornerback room.
5. Miami Dolphins: Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
The Dolphins seem like they want to give Malik Willis a chance to be the guy, and rebuilding an offensive line that remains far from an elite unit could be very appealing. Seaton is a premier athlete and a Day 1 starter for whomever is under center in Miami.
6. New York Jets: Darian Mensah, QB, Miami
The Jets could go in one of many different directions with this pick, as the QB class hasn't separated quite yet. Mensah's deadeye accuracy may beat out concerns about a weak arm, all while outshining CJ Carr's efficiency and Drew Mestemaker's arm strength.
7. Washington Commanders: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
Washington finally needs to plan for life without Terry McLaurin and land a No. 1 wide receiver for Jayden Daniels. Already an elite downfield playmaker, Coleman may be the developmental piece needed to get Washington back on track.
8. New Orleans Saints: Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
New Orleans can only ride Chase Young's resurgence for so long. Pierre isn't the most explosive edge rusher in the world, but with a high motor and terrific bend, he profiles as an immediate contributor with versatility to flex early on.
9. Arizona Cardinals: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
The Cardinals need to have a post-Jacoby Brissett plan with more upside than Carson Beck. Moore's injury and tough Oklahoma State loss hurt his stock, but there are few (if any) better when dropping back and distributing from the pocket in this class.
10. Cincinnati Bengals: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
Cincinnati's defense is much better than it was, but the Bengals could use one more big name in the secondary to complete this unit. Robinson is a premium athlete with the speed needed to form a great partnership with DJ Turner.
11. Pittsburgh Steelers: CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
As Aaron Rodgers hits retirement, Pittsburgh may not be sold on either Drew Allar or Mason Rudolph as a viable 2027 starter. Carr, who has been lighting it up to start 2027, could use his feathery touch deep downfield to become the Steelers' next big star.
12. New York Jets: Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss
The Jets' defensive line is full of aging players who can't rush the passer. Echoles would not only be the best interior pass rusher on the team immediately, but he and T'Vondre Sweat could lock down the team's defensive tackle spot for the next 10 years.
13. New York Jets: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina
Based on talent, Stewart should be in contention for No. 1 overall. However, his indefinite suspension from South Carolina may hint at some coachability concerns. With three first-round picks, the Jets can take this risk as they land David Bailey a running mate.
14. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
The Cowboys have Caleb Downs and Joey Porter Jr. in their revamped secondary, but Da'Ron Bland's regression will require some extra investment. Hampton has a gangly 6-2 frame and is still just 20 years old.
15. Detroit Lions: Kingston Lopa, S, Cal
Lopa is a 6-5 safety who is leading the country in interceptions, and that display of ball skills could push him up draft boards in a weak positional class. With Kerby Joseph's future uncertain, a poor Detroit secondary may need to replace him.
16. Philadelphia Eagles: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
It wouldn't be an Eagles draft unless a player falls right into their lap. Lane Johnson is all but retired at this point, and with Goosby performing like a fringe-Top 10 player, all signs point to him immediately stepping in to replace the future Hall of Famer.
17. Atlanta Falcons: Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
Jake Matthews is getting older, and the offensive line as a whole needs one more difference-maker. Lauck's strong start to the season has all but solidified him as a Top-25 prospect, and Atlanta could throw him out there instantly.
18. Denver Broncos: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
Bo Nix still needs some extra playmakers if he is going to take that next step, and the Evan Engram-led tight end room has been a massive disappointment. Johnson may actually be a more well-rounded prospect than Kenyon Sadiq was one year prior.
19. Carolina Panthers: Trey’Dez Green, TE, LSU
At 6-7 with receiver-like speed, Green could be the X-factor that takes Carolina's Bryce Young-led offense from good to great. Green and Tetairoa McMillan could both serve as major matchup nightmares for Dave Canales.
20. New England Patriots: Chris Cole, LB, Georgia
Mike Vrabel is doing yeoman's work to obscure how thin New England's linebacker room is. In a weak class, Cole's smarts, speed, and SEC production could make him a green-dot wearer for the future.
21. Cleveland Browns: Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
Mestemaker is a risk, as he was a backup in high school and needs to put a full year together against high-end competition. If he does, Cleveland should jump all over this gunslinger with a cannon arm.
22. Cleveland Browns: David Stone, DT, Oklahoma
Stone may be the best run-stuffing defensive tackle in this class that has a shot of being picked in the first round, and Cleveland may be one of many teams who thinks his hand usage could make him a solid pass rusher.
23. Las Vegas Raiders: Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana
If the board lets Becker fall to this point, Fernando Mendoza and the Raiders would be doing cartwheels. A 6-3 receiver with speed and ball skills who already has chemistry with Mendoza? Could it get better?
24. Seattle Seahawks: Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama
Coleman-Williams is looking more like the freshman standout than the player who was all out of sorts last season. Seattle may land on both a Rashid Shaheed upgrade and Cooper Kupp succession plan.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida
Baugh has been a bulldozer this season, and he's shown more big-play potential than he has in the past. Jacksonville could use Baugh as a more committed investment than the Bhayshul Tuten/Chris Rodriguez tandem.
26. Buffalo Bills: KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
Bolden is a great value pick for Buffalo at this point, both because he is a clear Top 20 prospect who flies around the field and can immediately contribute on a Bills team that needs safety help.
27. New York Giants: Mario Craver, WR, Texas A&M
Craver has size issues at under 170 pounds, but he is dynamite with the ball in his hands. His stylistic contrast might be what sets him apart when compared to the speedy Malik Nabers or stronger Malachi Fields.
28. Chicago Bears: A’Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon
The Bears' defensive line is what is holding this defense back from becoming a great unit. Washington may not be the most dynamic pass rusher, but he is a brick wall at defending the run that Dennis Allen would love to use.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State
Teams like Baltimore that prioritize length and stickiness in man coverage may fall head over heels for a 6-4 corner like Jones who can hit hard as a tackler. Improving his ball skills could make him a Pro Bowler.
30. Minnesota Vikings: Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss
Kevin O'Connell can only lean on Aaron Jones and friends in the backfield for so long. No matter what the Vikings do at quarterback, bringign in a power back with Lacy's shiftiness could get their offensive floor back where it should be.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: KJ Duff, WR, Rutgers
After picking a 5-9, 170-pound speedster in Xavier Worthy has garnered mixed results, why not pivot to a 6-6, 225-pounder with great speed? Duff could be the one who gives this offense the verticality it needs.
32. San Francisco 49ers: Cayden Green, IOL, Missouri
While the 49ers haven't allowed a sack so far, Green could be an option due to the uncertain future of Trent Williams and the rest of the left side of the line. Green offers tackle/guard versatility with plenty of power.
ROUND 2
33. Tennessee Titans: Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana
34. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Reed Harris, WR, Arizona State
35. Los Angeles Chargers: Kade Pieper, IOL, Iowa
36. Miami Dolphins: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
37. Houston Texans: Carter Smith, OT, Indiana
38. Washington Commanders: Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon
39. New Orleans Saints: Ahmad Moten Sr, DT, Miami
40. Arizona Cardinals: Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama
41. New York Jets: Kynngston Viliamu-Asa, LB, Notre Dame
42. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri
43. Indianapolis Colts: Damon Wilson II, EDGE, Miami
44. Green Bay Packers: Austin Sievereld, OT, Ohio State
45. Dallas Cowboys: Ryan Wingo, WR, Texas
46. Detroit Lions: OJ Frederique, CB, Miami
47. Atlanta Falcons: Kenyatta Jackson, EDGE, Ohio State
48. Denver Broncos: Nate Frazier, RB, Georgia
49. Philadelphia Eagles: Brauntae Johnson, S, Notre Dame
50. Cincinnati Bengals: Rasheem Biles, LB, Texas
51. New England Patriots: Justin Scott, DT, Miami
52. Los Angeles Rams: Melvin Siani, OT, Texas
53. Carolina Panthers: Greg Johnson, IOL, Minnesota
54. Las Vegas Raiders: Quincy Rhodes, EDGE, Arkansas
55. Seattle Seahawks: Princewill Umanmielen, EDGE, LSU
56. Cleveland Browns: Will Heldt, EDGE, Clemson
57. Buffalo Bills: Omarion Miller, WR, Arizona State
58. New York Giants: Brice Pollock, CB, Texas TechÂ
59. Chicago Bears: Clev Lubin, EDGE, Louisville
60. Jacksonville Jaguars: Boubacar Traore, EDGE, Notre Dame
61. Baltimore Ravens: Iapani Laluolu, IOL, Oregon
62. Minnesota Vikings: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
63. Kansas City Chiefs: Luke Reynolds, TE, Virginia Tech
64. San Francisco 49ers: Koi Perich, S, Oregon
