Even before releasing Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys were being linked to Bijan Robinson. But now that they did move on from Zeke, the rumors are really heating up.

In fact, Jon Machota even recently mocked Robinson to Dallas at No. 26 and then went into detail on how happy they would be should he fall to them.

"“The Cowboys would have to be absolutely thrilled if Robinson fell to 26. He’s the type of elite talent they’d probably select if they had a top-15 pick. With Ezekiel Elliott released and Tony Pollard franchise-tagged, running back is one of Dallas’ biggest needs. They are expected to pick one by Round 4, but none would make the immediate impact that Robinson would in the running and passing game.” — Machota via Joseph Zucker of Bleacher Report"

As excited as they would be to land Robinson at No. 26, that’s a very unlikely scenario. The truth is, if Dallas wanted to bring in the Texas superstar, they would surely need to move up in the draft.

Not everyone is sold on that idea but it’s hard to say the offense wouldn’t be deadly with Robinson joining the mix. They already have CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks at wide receiver and Tony Pollard at running back. Throw in Robinson and it would be hard for defenses to know who to zero in on.
