There might not be a lot of Texas Longhorns currently on the Dallas Cowboys roster, but they have had some stars from the in-state school. The best was arguably Leonard Davis, who they had to add via free agency, but this season they could look to add some in-state stars through the 2023 NFL Draft.

With a few Longhorns heading into the draft, here are four players that should be in play for the Cowboys come April 27.

4. Moro Ojomo, DT

At 6-foot-3 and 292 pounds, Moro Ojomo was considered a bit of a ‘tweener for the Longhorns. He played defensive tackle but was also able to move to the edge of the line. Some believe he would be best to stay on the outside and slide inside during passing situations.

That was what Dallas did with Tyrone Crawford, who was one of the more underrated players throughout his career. While that could be a plan for Ojomo, he also should find plenty of success simply lining up as a 3-tech in Dan Quinn’s defense.

In four seasons with the Longhorns, he had 95 tackles, 13.5 for a loss, and five sacks. He had plenty of experience as a starter for more than two seasons and is still improving as a player.

He made a major leap this year, finishing with career highs in tackles (32), tackles for a loss (5.5), and sacks (3.0). He might not unseat Osa Odighizuwa but he could find a role in this defense, making him a player to watch during the draft.
