The playoffs are here and the Dallas Cowboys are entering the tournament on a sour note. They laid an egg in their season finale, losing to Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders. Thankfully, nothing important was on the line because they looked uninterested and out of rhythm all day.

Starting this weekend, that can’t be the case as it’s win or go home. Dallas has a strong enough roster to make a run but can they get past the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 1995? Let’s dive into this NFC Playoff prediction and find out.

Seattle Seahawks (7) at Minnesota Vikings (2)

The Green Bay Packers were eliminated late on Sunday night, which opened the door for the Seattle Seahawks. They’ve been a surprise team this season, led by Geno Smith but their ride comes to an end as they lose to the Minnesota Vikings in the opening round.

Minnesota might not have an elite defense but their offense will be too much for the Seahawks to handle, although they do keep it relatively close.

Prediction: Minnesota 31, Seattle 23

New York Giants (6) at San Francisco 49ers (3)

Brian Daboll and the New York Giants were another surprising team this season and their reward for earning a Wild Card spot is a date with the San Francisco 49ers. That defense is playing lights out and the Giants don’t have the firepower to keep up.

Prediction: San Francisco 26, New York 13

Dallas Cowboys (5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4)

Dallas began their season with a loss at home to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a frustrating way to begin the campaign as they mustered up just three points and then lost Dak Prescott to a broken thumb for six games.

Now, they get a shot at revenge as they face the Bus in the first round. The Cowboys have never beaten Tom Brady and what better time to change that than in the postseason? Here, they give TB12 an early exit thanks to a late drive and field goal from Brett Maher.

Prediction: Dallas 24, Tampa Bay 21
