2. Titans pass defense will struggle with Dak Prescott

One of the big complaints Dallas fans had during Jason Garrett’s tenure as head coach was his love for 1990s football. Garrett believed teams won by running the ball and stopping the run. While that always helps, football in today’s era is centered on the passing game.

Having said that, Garrett would absolutely love coaching the Titans. This team is 1990s football all over again.

They’re led by Derrick Henry, who has 1,429 yards already this season. If any of their other running backs could run the ball at all, they would be a top-five rushing offense, but since it’s all on him, they’re currently 12th in the league. Still, their offensive identity is built on the ground.

The same is true of the defense as they enter Week 17 with just 1,201 yards gained against them by opposing runners. That gives them the No. 2 rushing defense in the entire league.

While that could cause Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard issues, it will be a welcome sight for Dak Prescott, as he faces the second-worst passing defense in the league. Tennessee has been gashed for 4,194 yards and 29 touchdowns so far.

They’re also middle of the pack with interceptions — so maybe Prescott won’t throw a bunch this time — and have 37 sacks compared to 49 for Dallas.

This is the type of game Prescott should be able to have his way and with CeeDee Lamb coming off a 120-yard and two-touchdown performance, there’s no reason not to believe this will be a win for the road team.
