4 bold predictions for the Dallas Cowboys vs Tennessee Titans
The Dallas Cowboys had us worried early on in the game last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, but pulled out the victory in the end.
My predictions held up as well this week; well some of them at least. T.Y. Hilton came up with a monster catch that helped win the game. After his early pick-six, Dak Prescott came out and was a man on a mission leading the Cowboys to a win.
This week, Dallas will be sporting the color rush jerseys against a Tennessee Titans team that’s fighting for the AFC South title. It remains to be seen what the Titans will do with the number of injuries they’ve sustained but one thing is for sure, the Cowboys can expect a heavy dose of Derrick Henry in this game.
If Dallas wants to get another win and put a little more pressure on the Eagles they will need to stop Henry. A few other things need to go their way and I have a few predictions on how they will turn out. So let’s get into this week’s four bold predictions for the Cowboys vs. Titans Thursday Night Football game.
4 bold predictions for the Cowboys vs Titans Week 17 matchup
4. Cowboys Run Wild Against the Titans
This game will feature two of the better running teams in the NFL, and you can bet they are both going to want to hit the ground running to start this game and assert their win on the opposing defense.
Over the last three games, the Cowboys are averaging 132 yards per game on the ground. That’s the seventh-best in the NFL during that stretch, and they will need to continue that against a Titans defense that is giving up just 68 yards per game over their last three games. Something has to give, and this week I believe the Cowboys are going to get the better of the Titans on the ground.
The combination of Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, and rookie Malik Davis is going to wear down this defensive line and close the game out as well. The injuries to Bud Dupree and Jeffery Simmons may not keep them from playing, but they will hamper their ability to get to the ball carriers as fast as they normally do. That along with the Cowboys’ passing attack with Prescott and his array of wide receivers will open up plenty of running lanes this week for the running game.
