1. Jalen Tolbert, Wide Receiver
When Amari Cooper was traded to the Cleveland Browns, it showed that Dallas believed CeeDee Lamb was ready to be the No. 1 target. While that was their overarching thought, they never expected him to do it all alone.
There was hope that James Washington would be a welcome addition, and when Michael Gallup returned from his knee surgery, he, too, was supposed to help. So far, Washington has done nothing in the two weeks since his return, and Gallup has just 31 receptions for 339 yards and three touchdowns.
With those two not making defenses pay for doubling Lamb, the door should have been open for Jalen Tolbert. A third-round pick from South Alabama, Tolbert failed to take advantage of the opportunity in front of him, as he was passed on the depth chart by Noah Brown (and even Dennis Houston, early in the year).
Eventually, he got a shot, but has just two receptions for 12 yards on the year. He also made headlines when he hurt the team’s chances in an overtime loss to the Packers when he lined up offside on second and two.
Cowboys WR Jalen Tolbert was called for offside. The problem was not that he failed to check with the down judge. It was that he waited. Tolbert didn't look over until 11 seconds left on play clock. Snap came at nine. He moved too little, too late. Learning experience for rookie. pic.twitter.com/xlt23GbBhh

Even with the struggles, Tolbert has still been active for eight games, but with the recent addition of T.Y. Hilton and the return of Washington, it’s likely we won’t see him again this season.

3 Cowboys whose heroics were completely wasted by walk-off Jaguars interception
These 3 Dallas Cowboys turned the momentum back against the Jacksonville Jaguars after nearly letting everything slip away in the fourth quarter.
