The Dallas Cowboys are 4-1 and have been defying the odds all season. Once they lost Dak Prescott to a thumb injury, they were supposed to fall apart — especially given how poorly they played in Week 1. That’s not how things went down though.

Cooper Rush stepped in and performed well enough to lead them on a four-game winning streak. He’s now 5-0 as a starter in his career but is about to face his toughest test, a 5-0 Philadelphia Eagles squad.

Dallas might be an underdog this week but they’ve proven they can stack up against anyone. With that being the case, here are four reasons to believe they can hand the hated Eagles their first loss of the season.

4. Eagles are susceptible to the run

Philadelphia deserves a lot of credit for how they’ve played. There’s really not a weakness when looking at their roster and they’re well-rounded on both offense and defense. Having said that, they’re much better against the pass on defense. They’ve also had way more passing attempts against them than runs, due to the fact that they’ve been winning in each game.

When teams do run on them, they’re averaging 5.0 yards per rush which plays right into Dallas’ hands. Ezekiel Elliott continues to get the bulk of the carries but Tony Pollard has been utilized more this season than normal and he’s averaging 5.6 yards per attempt.

Using both of them on Sunday will help the Cowboys extend drives, keeping their defense fresh and the Philly crowd as quiet as possible. On top of that, it will help open up the play-action which is the key to getting Rush some time to deliver the ball downfield.
