Cowboys’ 53-man roster prediction ahead of final roster cuts

Dallas fans got some good news when the team announced they weren’t putting Michael Gallup on the PUP list. Gallup, who tore his ACL and had surgery in January, has apparently suffered no setbacks and might be on the field sooner than expected. That’s why he makes the list here, rather than starting on the IR.

He still likely won’t play in Week 1 which means Jalen Tolbert will start across from CeeDee Lamb. The ball was force-fed to Tolbert throughout the preseason and when it was delivered accurately, he seemed to be able to haul it in. Still, there’s a huge difference between the preseason and regular season, but it will be baptism by fire for the rookie.

Second-year player Simi Fehoko had a great preseason, catching two touchdown passes. He and Noah Brown will battle for the No. 3 spot but Fehoko could have the upper hand due to his size.

Dennis Houston also makes the cut, as the young man proved himself worthy this offseason. He earned the trust of Prescott in camp and that will be huge for him.

With all that being said, the key to this passing attack will be Lamb. The third-year player is a budding star in this league and fresh off his first 1,000-yard campaign. As long as he stays healthy, they can continue to feature a strong aerial attack.
