3. Cory Rahman, S, Tennessee State

Height: 6’2″ Weight: 195lbs

Career Stats: 191 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 13 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 11 passes defended

For a safety to have as many interceptions on his resume as Rahman does can’t be luck. That many picks comes with immense skill. Some NFL scouts will consider him undersized for a true safety. Rahman does have the height you want, and even at his weight, he is a physical tackler in the running game. He’s got good (but not great) speed and is able to handle the deep middle of the field with ease. He does have issues with peaking at the quarterback and letting players get behind him at times.

If the Cowboys are looking for a productive safety but miss out on the guys they really wanted, Rahman could be someone that can be had late in the draft or in free agency if they are willing to pull the trigger.

4. Al Young, CB, Jackson State

Height: 5’11” Weight: 195lbs

Career Stats: 83 total tackles, 3 fumble recoveries, 7 interceptions, 30 passes defended

Another player that the Cowboys were likely looking at during Jackson State’s Pro Day was cornerback Al Young. He may be a smaller cornerback, but he still took on the best receivers that teams had to offer and was able to lock them down in most games. A favorite of head coach Sanders, Young plays with that same arrogant style that made Sanders known as “Prime Time.” That aggressive and gritty style is something the Cowboys are saying they will be looking for in this year’s draft.

Young is a confident player and the Cowboys need confident players on both sides of the football in order to take this team to the next level. If Sanders has anything to say about it, he’ll be working the Jones family in order to get Houston or Young on the Cowboys roster.
