2. James Houston, EDGE/LB,  Jackson State

Height: 6’1″ Weight: 225lbs

Career Stats: 170 total tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, 1 interception, 10 forced fumbles

The Cowboys are in need of bodies at pass rusher given the loss of Randy Gregory. The team needs to find players that have the speed to win off the edge and also have the flexibility they look for that can move inside and create pressure up the middle. James Houston could give Dallas what they are looking for if they are willing to take a risk. He is far from a finished product and needs some refinement to his game even with his impressive sack stats. Quinn would be able to help him with that, and with his head coach’s ties to America’s Team, it could be a possibility.

Sanders is a Jones family favorite, and the Cowboys were in attendance at the Jackson State’s Pro Day, so they obviously have been sniffing around the team. It would be great for the organization to give one of Prime Time’s players a chance.
