1. Jeremy Ruckert, Ohio State

The Cowboys have a long history of acquiring players from Ohio State. The list includes Ezekiel Elliott, Noah Brown, and Malik Hooker. Could Jeremy Ruckert be the next Buckeye added to that list? The 6-5, 250 pound tight end has all the size and strength you look for in an NFL starter.

According to PFF’s big board, Ruckert is ranked 109th, projecting him to be a late day two/early day three pick. I think he would be a steal for the Cowboys in the fourth round. He caught 26 receptions, 309 yards, and three touchdowns.

Even though he does did not have the production of other tight ends, he projects to be a much better NFL player than college. Kind of like Dalton Schultz.

Each site has players ranked differently and we have no clue where they will be ranked on each team’s draft board. But, if the Cowboys can acquire Ruckert in the third or fourth round he would be a great addition to the roster.
