2. Madden comments on the steam coming out of Nate Newton’s head

When Madden was calling games, any player on any team was potentially the subject of a joke. In an Eagles vs Giants game, Madden took to the telestrator to point out something unusual happening on the sideline.

Nate Newton, a guard known as “The Kitchen,” had steam coming off of his bald head. Madden said that when you have heat in your body and you have to let it out, it comes out of your head. Science!

He went on to say that you could cook some burgers on Newton’s head and that when you have steam coming out of your head, that’s when you are really talking football.
