Unfortunately for the Dallas Cowboys, time is of the essence heading into their Week 13 primetime matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys are currently on a two-game losing streak but are still on top of the NFC East at 7-4 at this point in time but who knows for how long if things don’t improve. Their lead is only two games ahead of the Washington Football Team (5-6) and Philadelphia Eagles (5-7), respectively.

Believe it or not, even the New York Giants (4-7) are still also in the division hunt. Once again this year, the NFC East can go either way and will more than likely come down to the wire at season’s end. Needless to say, the time is now for the Cowboys to bounce back and continue with the task at hand to get back on the winning track. On paper, the Cowboys are definitely a better team than the Saints but make no mistake about it, this game could go either way.

Luckily for America’s Team, their defense is more than capable of playing lights out football. With head coach Mike McCarthy out this week due to unfortunately being on the COVID-19 list, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will step in and handle those duties until his return. This will be a close and defensive-oriented football game to watch on Thursday Night Football with much to play for the Cowboys as they can’t afford to add another game to their losing streak.

Cowboys vs Saints Prediction Week 13

The Cowboys have much to play for in terms of proving they are indeed a contender this season. It looks like wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be back in the starting lineup on Thursday but it remains to be seen if running back Ezekiel Elliott will suit up. The Cowboys might want to rest him as he deals with a lingering knee injury but considering how inconsistent the offense has been, it might be best to keep things conservative and take whatever points they can get.

In what will more than likely be a close game, expect to see the Cowboys’ defense rise to the occasion and be what ultimately ends their current two-game losing streak. We’re predicting a close matchup here that will see the Cowboys beat the Saints 24-21 thanks to their defense stepping up and coming through when it matters most.
