Dallas Cowboys: 3. CeeDee Lamb 3rd & 25 catch, leads to game-tying field goal

Remember when I was talking about big-time plays in high leverage situations? Well here is another one. After a brutal unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, the Cowboys were forced into a 3rd & 25.

Just like all the previous number 88s before him, CeeDee Lamb made a spectacular catch for 24 yards to get the Cowboys back into field goal range when things seemed rather bleak.

This play was especially massive because the catch put the Cowboys into field goal range and they were not forced to go for it on 4th down. Setting up kicker Greg Zuerlein for the game-tying field goal seemed improbable before this play, thankfully Dak trusted CeeDee to make the play and he did not disappoint.

The Prescott to Lamb duo dominated the Patriots’ secondary all game. Prescott ended with 445 yards passing and three touchdowns, along with Lamb catching 9 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
